The Sims 4

The Sims 4 is a social simulation game introduced by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. The game has been available on Windows since September 2, 2014, which is the ‘The Sims’ fourth installment. In the current version also, you can create and customize the character Sims, followed by building and furnishing their homes. This is a simple, open-ended game characterized by no primary objectives to achieve or fulfill a particular storyline to complete. Currently, the game is accessible on platforms such as Windows, macOS, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game has a few updates and patch notes, and it is well discussed in this article.

  • Addressed multiple cases where festival objects from different events overlapped on lots in San Myshuno. 

Life And Death Bug Fixes

  • Nyon Spectar has the proper Grimborn trait.
  • Now mermaid hairs are not chopped off in Create a Sim.

Dine Out Bug Fixes

  • Sims requests a table and encourages interactions.

How To Create A Sim At The Sims 4

In order to create a Sim in The Sims 4, you need to use the Create-A-Sim feature. You will be provided with two options: create from scratch and create a Sim story option. The step-by-step procedure of how to create a sim in two different methods is given below:

Create A Sim From Scratch

Step 1: Navigate to the main menu and select the new game 

Step 2: Tap on the Plumbob option found in the top left corner of the screen 

Step 3: Choose Sim’s name, age, gender, skin tone, and fitness 

Step 4: Personalize Sim’s head, face, hair, facial hair, makeup, and glasses

Step 5: Choose Sim’s clothing 

Step 6: Choose Sim’s personality and aspirations

Create A Sim Story

Step 1: Navigate to the main menu and select New Game 

Step 2: Select Create a Sim Story 

Step 3: Answer the questions which will help shape Sim’s personality

Step 4: The game will generate Sim’s aspirations and traits based on your answers

Other than this, there is a provision to choose a pre-made SIM from the SIM bin and make changes to the SIM at any point in the game. 

Updates On Eyelashes And Hairstyle

New eyelashes have a separate category. Eyelashes can be selected depending on the shape of the eye, and it is compatible with other accessories such as glasses and piercings. This update is free for everyone. Individuals can now try out the new hairstyle collections. You can see The Sim 4 collaboration with Dark and Lovely arrives in this update.

French Tips, Coffin Nails, And Neutral Palettes

Updates are also seen in the nail styles and color palettes. Now, you can design or customize your French tips and coffin nails.

  • Corners of pools can be rounded instead of sharp corners. This can be achieved by placing a corner piece and adjusting the sides. Based on your creation, you can customize the pool. 
  • The menu is now updated with a new ‘Relationship’ that contains actions across the Base Game and a number of packs that directly relate to relationship status. 
  • Now, the Music section has a ‘Safe for Steaming.’ With this feature, you can play music that is safe for streaming The Sims 4. So you will not end up streaming or video-running into music copyright issues
